Lux Nova was launched 31st August 2020 by a husband & wife team based at home in Blackpool. We (Amanda & Lee) have been married since 2011 and have two boys, Asher & Hayden, we met in Primary school and have known each other ever since. Lux Nova was started in lockdown 2020 after Covid & Lee being diagnosed with depression forced the closure of Amanda’s old business.
We decided to set up a self care brand to help with our mental health. Fragrance & self care can help in so many positive ways.
So Lux Nova was born. With pure determination we spent day and night learning about different products, fragrance oils, legal requirements and started creating our very first wax melts. There were many failed attempts but with practise and different wax techniques we found our formula and started to make great smelling wax melts. Each fragrance wax melt has been thoroughly tested to check its burn quality and scent throw.
We have continued our growth into making room sprays and most recently skin care products, while learning to create candles & reed diffusers, behind the scenes.
Lux Nova means “a new light” in Latin and was the perfect name to describe the time period in our life. One business closes, another one opens. The new light at the end of the tunnel, Our icon represents a backwards L and N to create a constellation style icon, this our new light in the sky.
